What makes your Beyond the Bell/Pride Time team of students (aka Power Rangers aka #thecoolest) special? My team is very diverse; each student brings something different to the table, making us complete.
Describe a moment at Beyond the Bell/Pride Time when you knew you were in the right place? A student from another team asked me to sit with her on the bus to our trip to Funkys. The whole way to Funkys, we talked about her life and where she was from. Once we arrived at Funkys, she asked me to teach her how to skate and I replied, "I would love too, except I don't really know how to skate." She looked at me and grabbed my hand, and said, “That’s okay, we can learn together"
What five words best describe you? Honest, Caring, Open-minded, Laid-back, Athletic
What is one of your favorite quotes? "If you're trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I've had them. Everybody has had them. But obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it." -Michael Jordan
Where do you want to be five years from now? And how is your Beyond the Bell experience helping you get there? I want to have finished my degree, and be teaching middle school or running an after school program, and coaching high school level basketball. Beyond the Bell is helping me get and stay organized! It is also teaching me different methods to connect with kids and build those much-needed relationships. My experience with Beyond the Bell is helping me be the best leader that I can be.
